Description
Shaped by decades of tides and storms and age, the Avalon Fishing Pier in Kill Devil Hills spanned 700 feet of weathered character and happy fishermen.
Two weeks after this sunrise, much of this 700-foot Outer Banks landmark was taken by the sea during Hurricane Dorian in September 2019.
